Founded in 1973 by its current President-Founder, Hadj Ahmed ASTAIB, ASTA Groupe began its activity as a modest coffee roaster under the name "Café du Sahara." Subsequently, the company diversified by venturing into the importation of green coffee and mastering the procurement of raw materials.

1998
Asta's production unit
In 1998, an ultramodern production unit was built on an area of over one hectare, with a production capacity of 40 tons per day. It features a 100% automated line equipped with state-of-the-art roasting and packaging equipment. This led to the creation of several coffee brands, including ASTA, TAIBA, DIAMANT NOIR, and MONDIAL ESPRESSO.

July 2004
ISO 9001 Certification
Café Sahara became the first coffee company in Morocco to be ISO 9001 Version 2000 certified. The great focus on the selection process, green coffee procurement, and distribution has made its management and quality system a symbol of excellence.

December 2004
Partnership with Luigi LAVAZZA spa.
Café Sahara signed an agreement with Luigi LAVAZZA spa, the largest Italian roaster. It thus became the exclusive distributor of Lavazza brands in the retail sector.

During the fair, we presented our different coffee varieties, each with its own story and unique characteristics. Visitors were able to taste our products and appreciate the richness of the aromas and the delicacy of the flavors, a result of a meticulous process of selection and roasting. We also organized workshops and demonstrations to explain the crucial steps in coffee production, from the harvest of the beans to the cup. By participating in this event, we reaffirmed our commitment to offering the highest quality coffee, while celebrating the passion and craftsmanship behind every cup.
